Cool Project Going On In NY

I recently came across an interesting site the other day called International Fiber Collabrative.
It's is a group of crafters who are collecting fiber squares to cover an abandoned gas station in central New York state. It's for the awareness of our dependency on oil for energy. They are collecting 3ft. by 3ft. squares of crochet, knit, felt, etc. to then sew together to cover this building. I think its a great idea and I can't wait to see the final product. I wish I lived close so that I could come to the ceremony and celebrate!

Please check out the site and if you can participate please do. The deadline is not until March of 2008 so we all have plenty of time
